Happy Birthday, Hylie!

Look who's 7-years-old now!

Hylie's birthday was on a Saturday and we had two friends, Cora and Ashlyn, come to help celebrate!

The rain decided to join the party as well, so we had to make some last minute changes so the kids could splatter paint their projects in the garage.  Thanks, Geoff!

Hylie's party had an "art" theme to it.  She came up with a game where you tasted some food, guessed what it was, and then drew it--all blindfolded! Everyone thought it was a hit!

Hylie asked for a Rice Krispie Treat birthday cake for her party

Later that evening we had a family dinner, complete with another cake.  I don't think I'm ever going to do double cakes again, talk about sugar overload!  (But I did enjoy making them!)

Hylie is an amazing big sister, super huge helper, an honest kid with a big heart.  We sure love her lots!

Hylie's First Day of School

The summer flew by and here we are, getting back on the school bus!  This summer was a lot of fun and I sure miss Hylie while she's away at school.  She's loving her new class and her new teacher, Mrs. Pupillo, is absolutely wonderful.  Here's to a fantastic 2nd grade year!

Hylie asked me to cut her hair the day before school--not a trim, but to take 6 inches off!  She loves it and I think she looks super cute!

Kyron - 6 Months

Unfortunately, Kyron was a sick baby when he turned 6 months on August 13th.  The night before he started vomiting and running a fever, I was pretty nervous because none of our kids have ever been that sick that young.  Fortunately, medicine helped with his fever and after a few days he was back to his chipper self!

He had a check-up where we found out he is now 18 lbs. 8 oz. and 28 inches long!  He is a champ at rolling onto his tummy and prefers going on his side or tummy to sleep.  He's been waking up two and sometimes three times a night...but the doctor said it is time to start sleep training!  Kyron is figuring out his hands and has been grabbing things--then whatever is in his grasp usually makes its way to his mouth.  He's found his feet and loves playing with them and sucking on his toes.  I'm also quite grateful that the spitting up and blowing out incidents are lessening!

Kyron continues to be a smiley guy...just not when I want to take his picture, ha ha!

We've been trying solid foods, so far he's not digging the concept.  I think that might change pretty soon!

Eliana's Preschool

Catch-up post!

Eliana loved every second of Preschool this year.  She learned a ton and made a lot of fun memories with her friends Luke, Khloe, and Juniper!

We took a picture of the four friends at the beginning of preschool...

Just before the door swung open and they all came tumbling down!  Ha ha! (No one was hurt!)

Preschool Graduation!

 Last Day vs. First Day!
