Beach Day!
Last week I took the girls to our public pool to try to beat the heat. The entire time we were there all I could think was: there is no way I'll be able to do this with 3 kids next summer! It was a bit of a handful for me. So this week I tried the beach, and enjoyed the experience so much more! The only downside was dealing with the sand afterwards, but I'll take it for a couple of hours of sheer bliss!

Hylie's Art
Hylie really enjoys coloring and drawing, and boy do we get a kick out of her creations!
Eliana is becoming Hylie's little shadow, so if Hylie is busy working on something at the table, you better believe Eliana wants to be a part of it, too!
A little mermaid sitting on a rock, another mermaid, and a butterfly
A nativity
A princess with a long braid (I absolutely LOVE her teeth!)
Hylie surprised me with this drawing, she wrote "I love Dad" and "I love Mom" all by herself!

4th of July
Our 4th of July this year was super low-key. (It was so low-key, I really didn't take any pictures!) We enjoyed having Dad home for the day, went to our city's parade, and sat out in our front yard to watch the fireworks--which didn't start until 10 PM! It was a little bit of a late night for the kiddos, but the fireworks show was wonderful and gave us time to reflect on our abundant blessings living in this country where so many individuals have and do sacrifice their time, family life, and lives. God Bless America!

Eliana not quite sure she wants to be here...
25 Weeks
So this post is 3 weeks late, but here's a little update that the baby continues to grow and is kicking and wiggling around like a champ! At my last OB appointment, the doctor measured me and then asked, "How much did your first two weigh, again?" When I told him 9 pounds, he just smiled--so I asked if I was measuring big. He just chuckled nervously, patted my shoulder and said, "You should be just fine." Great.
