This year's display of fall foliage has been magnificent. As I drive down tree-lined streets, I thoroughly enjoy the beautiful views wishing the world could freeze in time right now--and I also have to exercise every ounce of self-control not to stop the car 10,000 times to take pictures. This post is 100% self-indulgent--it is simply so I can post some of the beauty that we've been surrounded by these past few weeks.

Autumn 2018

Halloween 2018
This year the girls were super excited to dress up as their favorite pups for Halloween. They are all big into Paw Patrol right now, so these costumes got quite a bit of use before the big day, which I didn't mind one bit!
On Halloween night, we had amazing weather and the kids did not tire of knocking on doors, being adored in their costumes, and receiving loads of candy!
Hylie as Skye
Eliana as Marshall
Lillian as Everest, or Rubble, or Rocky...it depended upon the day and her mood as to which pup she was "dressing up" as! Her costume didn't ever change, just her mind! Ha ha!
Hylie marching in her school parade
Our ward hosted a "Trunk-or-Treat" event with games, face painting, and candy (of course!)
Eliana in character as "Marshall" complete with tail wagging and tongue lagging!
Eliana and pumpkin guts DO NOT mix. I kept trying to get pics of her priceless expressions, but nothing captured her complete disgust for the stuff! Ha ha!
When Lillian was working on her pumpkin, I drew a bunch of different options for eyes, noses, and mouths, but she was adamant on having circles for EVERYTHING. No teeth, no triangle eyes, no silly nose--just circles!
Eliana was fine getting in on the carving action as long as she had the proper utensils so she and the pumpkin didn't touch!
Hylie was working with a green marker just prior to carving, hence the dirty face!

Happy Halloween!
