Kyron 10 Months

This little boy is on the move!  He is scooting on his tummy everywhere and keeps getting faster and faster!  He loves getting into everything except for HIS toys!  He now starts to get upset when we take something away or move  him to another location, but he quickly calms down and gets busy getting into something else!

Getting a picture of him laying down is a joke anymore!

When he's eating, we'll use the baby sign for "more" and he'll kick his legs and get excited because he knows that means more food is on the way!

We finally figured out the secret to getting him to take a bottle.  He loves his milk SUPER warm.  I call him my "little prince" because he has such high and specific standards for his liquids.  We also figured out that Enfamil is the only formula that agrees with his stomach, if he drinks something else he isn't able to keep it down.

Still waiting for teeth to come in, he's all gums but that doesn't slow him down from munching on all his vittles!

Sure loving our Kyron!

Eliana's 5th Birthday

Eliana knew her birthday was after Lillian's, so the moment Lillian's festivities were over--Eliana's countdown began.  She was SO excited to turn 5!  She kept asking when she'd start kindergarten and wasn't too thrilled that she'd have to wait until the next school year!

Eliana is super bubbly and is very passionate about her interests.  She's also pretty stubborn and if she gets her mind set on something, not much can convince her otherwise.

You can usually hear her sweet singing voice throughout the house.  She loves singing and learning new songs.  Her fingers are also constantly tapping and she has a knack for clapping out rhythms to songs, so I decided in November to start teaching Eliana piano.  It's a new adventure for me because I usually start students when they can read.  So far she's still pretty excited about it and is catching on to everything!

Eliana is big into letters, their sounds, and spelling things out.  No longer am I Mom--I'm "M-O-M".  Yep, she spells out everyone's name when she's calling for them. Ha ha!

She loved every minute of her big day and spent the next several days playing with all her new things.

We love you, Eliana!  Looking forward to what this year will bring!

She picked a dinner of ribs, mac and cheese, corn, and homemade bread

and a strawberry blueberry cake

Thanksgiving 2019

We stayed in Chicago for Thanksgiving and were lucky to have the missionaries join us as well as two ladies from the ward.  It was a very nice evening.

I'm finding myself in a very busy and demanding time as a mother.  My children are still very dependent on me and each day looks completely different.  I'm grateful for this time, but I'm not going to lie--I'm exhausted!  Thankfully, I have Geoff by my side and he is a very involved father and supportive and loving husband.  The kids love when he gets home and cry when he leaves.  Geoff takes the time to make memories these kids will cherish forever.  I'm so grateful for our health, for our comfortable home, and that we truly have all we could ever want or need.  The gospel of Jesus Christ has blessed us all immensely and I pray everyday to teach my children how to feel the spirit and build their own testimonies.  Without the atonement of Jesus Christ, I would feel and be hopeless.  I am constantly turning to Christ and asking Him to help me be more patient, more loving, and more forgiving.  When I was little I remember listening to prophets and apostles talk about the need to repent everyday and I would think, "There is no way they mess up so much that they need to repent EVERY day!"  Now that I'm more aware of what repentance involves and who I desire to become, I find myself needing to repent every hour.  What a gift we have to be able to strive to be a little better each day, to learn from our mistakes and not be weighed down by them.  I pray to always "Remember, Remember the Goodness of God and be Grateful" for then I will have a life of happiness and love.

Ward Talent Show 2019

On November 16th, our ward held a talent show where Hylie and I played a piano duet.  Hylie picked the song "Heart and Soul". Geoff took a video while holding a fussy Kyron--so we opted to record it again at home with Eliana's help.  Even though Hylie is still not a fan of piano, she practices everyday (with some--okay, A LOT of reminding) and is making quite a bit of progress.  Here's hoping she'll love it one day!

Kyron 9 Months

On November 13th, Kyron was not digging a photo shoot

Until I handed him the panda, ha!

At 9 months, Kyron weighed in at 21 lbs 5 oz and was 2' 5.5" inches

He finally has this sitting thing down!

This little boy rolls like crazy and has deemed it his main mode of transportation.  He is a huge fan of solid foods and prefers the homemade stuff over the store-bought baby goo.  Kyron is still the happiest baby on the block and rolls with the punches.  Because he has 3 older sisters, he gets in and out of his carseat A LOT.  He'll usually protest for about 2 seconds and then go back to being a smiley baby.  If he's playing and I have to walk out of the room, he'll cry for a few seconds and then get over it super quick.  He melts my heart when I rock him to sleep because he'll grab my hair, rub it on his face, and then usually fall asleep while still holding on.  The pacifier continues to soothe him pretty immediately and then when he wakes up and sees Mom, his face lights up and he kicks those little legs in celebration.  Can this get any better?  It also makes me giggle that he now can put his pacifier in his mouth all by himself.  Kyron continues to be such a joy and light--we're so glad he's ours!

Minute-to-Win-it with Grammy and Pappy

Geoff and I decided to introduce Grammy and Pappy to the fun that can be found in Minute-to-Win-it.  They had never heard of the game before, so they weren't sure what to expect as I pulled out supplies like cotton balls, cheese puffs, straws, cookies, vaseline, and dice.  I don't blame them for being spectacle--but boy were they good sports!  We had a lot of laughs and a ton of fun!

Lillian was cuteness overload with face the cookie!

Archery with Grammy and Pappy

One afternoon we headed to the Stake Center to take advantage of a large, empty gym.  Pappy knows a thing or two about archery, so we decided to get a kid-friendly bow and arrow and let Pappy teach everybody the ropes.

There was bit of fun going on in the sidelines as well

and silliness!

Hylie cheering Pappy on

Hylie was the first to hit the target (and of course, I didn't get a photo of the event!), but Pappy wasn't going to leave until he knocked some blocks down as well:
