In addition to our daily Easter devotionals on the life of the Savior, we also took the time to learn about Easter traditions like dying Easter eggs. We learned of a tradition in Serbia where Christians dye eggs red with yellow onion skins--the red symbolizing the blood of Christ. They exchange these eggs with friends and then keep one on their mantle all year as a reminder of Christ's sacrifice. We weren't ambitious enough to dye the eggs with onion skins this year...
Saturday morning the girls were pretty excited to see the Easter bunny was not following "Stay-at-Home" orders and left some eggs for them to find and some surprises in their baskets.
This little guy caught on QUICK and I think he was the best egg finder out of all the kids!
It also didn't take him long to figure out how to open these puppies!
