Our little city of Lisle holds an annual Depot Days Festival where you can explore how life was lived over 100 years ago in the Midwest. We really enjoyed the petting zoo (well, Lillian really enjoyed it--Hylie was scared stiff and clung to Dad the entire time and Eliana was quite content staying outside the fence with Mom), train exhibits, blacksmith demonstrations, hay baling, barn raising, and hay mazes. Already looking forward to attending next years event!
