I have been so blessed with such a wonderful pregnancy. I have been amazed at the amount of energy I've been able to maintain which has been needed to keep up with Hylie (and our house projects!) Truly, the biggest challenges now are putting on socks and shoes and getting up off the floor, ha ha!
It's hard to believe I have less than a week to go to my due date, so this little one could literally come any day now! Looking forward to welcoming this baby into our family.

Playing in the Leaves
Now that SNOW is on the ground, I figured I better get the pics posted of Hylie loving the chance to play in the leaves this year.
Our neighborhood does a leaf pick-up program, so all the residents rake their leaves into piles on the street and the city comes and vacuums them up. So yes, it is what it looks like: Hylie is playing in the street. But she was being closely monitored at all times!

Our Kitchen
Our kitchen remodel is (mostly) complete and we are loving each and every bit of our new space. We couldn't be more happy with how everything has turned out and it is also nice getting our home back together.

Last week Geoff proved yet again that he is the best husband ever and took a day off so we could finish all the painting that needed to be done. This 9 month pregnant gal couldn't have done it without him---thank you, Geoff!
So here's the big reveal!
We hope you all come over for dinner soon!

Chasing the Geese
I had a Relief Society Activity this morning and Hylie got some fun one-on-one Dad time. Geoff bundled her up and took her to the park--the highlight of this adventure was trying to play with the geese.
At one point she ran so close that they all flew away. Hylie was quite disappointed that they didn't come back to have some more fun!

The Nursery is Ready!
It was kind of nice just working on one project while we put the Nursery together! This room wasn't as disastrous as Hylie's 'before' room was. The biggest pains were patching over the wall that had a dart board and getting all the lovely stickers off of the door, not bad, right?
Here are a few before's:
And the afters with a few details of our "Moon" theme:
It will be fun to add some more decor once we know if it's for a little boy or girl!
Okay, I made the mistake and compared my bump pictures from when I was pregnant with Hylie...It's looking like this baby may be a little bigger than Hylie. Yikes!

Just a few weeks to go!

Kitchen Progress
Our Kitchen has been under construction these past 3 weeks. We are super, super pleased with how everything is coming along so far and are excited to continue to see things move forward.
And our current 'kitchen' is located in our laundry room, complete with a hot plate, toaster oven, and microwave.
Geoff took a panorama of the kitchen when it was completely gutted out.
Drywall up and subfloor in place!
Cabinets waiting for the tile floor...
I was amazed how quickly the tile and cabinets were put in place. We love how it's coming along!
In the meantime, the remainder of our main floor looks like this:
(sorry the pic is so blurry!)
Believe it or not, our temporary set-up is working just great. We're super excited about this adventure and are keeping our fingers crossed the kitchen will be complete before the baby comes!
Trunk or Treat!
Hylie has been so excited about Halloween these past few weeks. Not a day has passed where she hasn't said, "Hylie be Elmo for Halloween, and Daddy Cookie Monster, and Mom is Oscar the Grouch!" Yep, she picked out all of our costumes and has been consistent (and persistent) on her selections as well. I've asked if I could be Big Bird or Grover (at least someone with a sweeter disposition?) but she would hear nothing of it! So I sewed our little beanies together, got Hylie some Elmo PJ's and she absolutely LOVED the costumes.
She even practiced saying "Trick-or-Treat" and made sure we understood that people would give her candy when she spouts out that phrase. We got her to practice saying "Thank you" as well, but when she was at the Trunk-or-Treat event for our ward this past weekend, her shyness (and fatigue--guess who's been refusing to nap!) set in, and she barely made a peep at each candy station. Thankfully, people were so nice and gave her the goods even if she didn't participate with the Halloween lingo.
She was pretty excited to break into her stash that night before we even got in the car to go home. I think Hylie's an official fan of Halloween!
I think Hylie's glazed look is a combination of sleep deprivation and sugar coma, Ha ha!
