Mother's Day 2020

I enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing Mother's Day with this crew:

(This is what the majority of our pictures look like)

(but we just show you the one that *almost* turned out well)

I got to play with Kyron in the basement while these girls worked tirelessly with Geoff to prepare a feast!

All the food was selected and prepared by the kids.  They even took the time to cut up Kyron's dinner so I didn't have to!

Every Mother's Day I reflect on the loving influences of my Mother, Grandmothers, Sister, Sisters-in-Law, Mother-in-Law, and countless other strong women in my life.  I'm grateful for the role of families.  During this pandemic, the world has relied on the establishment of the family to keep people safe and hospitals from being over-run.  I've depended heavily upon my Mother as I call her frequently to talk about life at home and in the world.  I continue to pray to be the mother I need to be for my children--I have so many amazing examples of women fulfilling their roles to nurture those around them--may I follow in their loving footsteps.
